Seabrook’s Antonina Vella “Dolce Vita”

Every year, Pantone, the world-renowned authority on color, announces the next year’s hottest color. 2010’s Turquoise, still running strong in wallcovering and paint selections, is about to share the spotlight with Honeysuckle.
No, it’s not a yellow.
That was my first thought as well. Think vibrant, energetic, bold pink. Think courage, tenacity, and the ribbons from breast cancer awareness campaigns. Without even seeing the color, I am already in love with it.
That being said, I strongly felt that this month’s wallpaper book selection should incorporate some of 2011’s Honeysuckle. I struck paydirt when I received my copy of Seabrook’s newly released Antonina Vella “Dolce Vita”. Even the cover is Honeysuckle!
I counted nine patterns inside with strong Honeysuckle tones, ranging from playful butterfly prints like “Alessa”…

…structured damask style medallions like “Melania”…

…and retro-feel patterns in “Celia”

Dolce Vita offers classic grays, chocolate browns and even rich navy colored patterns as well. “Eda” is a terrific paisley feather-like pattern that would look fantastic lining the backs of bookshelves or built-ins.
But alas, to see “Eda”, more of Dolce Vita, and what the rest of our library has to offer, you’ll have to stop by and see for yourself in person.
